From the 50 hectares of vineyards in this Quinta, 2 are still traditional vineyards, 37 in landings and 11 in "Vinha ao Alto". Varieties used are a mixture of the region?s traditional varieties in the traditional vineyards and in the new lay-out systems, they are separated by plots; Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Sousão, Tinto Cão,Tinta Amarela and Touriga Nacional. The white ones are Malvasia Fina, Viosinho, Rabigato and Gouveio.The grapes are 90% of red varieties, and 10 % of white varieties.
As far as yield is concerned, the region is not known for having high-yield varieties; the maximum yield allowed being 55 hectolitres/hectare (about 7,500 kg/hectare). Average yield is about 30 hl/ha (4,100 kg/ha).
